The annual Eagle Awards took place on Sunday 21st July 2024. CMTC were delighted to receive 3 nominations this year. Both Sarah Towle and Jonathan Penton were nominated for the Gwen Taylor Award for Best Performance in a Musical – congratulations to Jonathan who won on the night!
The company was also nominated for the Gordon Bewley Award for Best production of a Musical, which we were delighted to win!
The biggest surprise on the night was for our very own Ann Hunt who deservedly was honoured with the prestigious Ken and Barbara Pipes Award for Exceptional Contribution to Amateur Theatre. A long-standing member of CMTC, Ann was shocked and uncharacteristically speechless! Many congratulations to Ann and all involved with the production of Oliver!
