About this production

The Drowsy Chaperone tells the story of a lonely musical theatre fan who plays the audience a recording of his favourite musical, the fictional ‘The Drowsy Chaperone’. Set in the 1920s this musical comedy features gangsters (disguised as bakers) a Latin lothario, a ditzy chorine, a tap dancing bridegroom, a star diva bride , an aviatrix, a drunk chaperone, monkeys, mistaken identities and possibly a wedding!
